Family-Owned Pest Control Since 1974
For more than 50 years, our family has helped protect homes and businesses throughout Hamilton, Ohio and the surrounding Butler County communities.
What began as JP Exterminating in 1974 grew into JP & Son Pest Control, a trusted local pest control company built on dependable service, fair pricing, and personal attention.
Today, that family tradition continues under a new name: Igetthebug Pest Prevention.
J.P.& Son is now Igetthebug Pest Prevention. We're continuing our over 50-year family legacy with a new name, no long-term contracts, and a 60-day guarantee.
JP Exterminating was started in 1974 by Jim and Lois Parker. What began as a way to support their young family developed into a local business that would serve generations of customers throughout the Hamilton area.
As the company grew, it became JP & Son Pest Control and remained family-owned and operated.
Today, Cory Parker continues that tradition as the current owner and operator. As a third-generation pest control technician and Ohio state-licensed applicator since 1997, Cory brings decades of hands-on experience and local knowledge to every job.
JP & Son Pest Control is now Igetthebug Pest Prevention.
While our name and branding have changed, the values behind the business have not. We remain committed to providing straightforward, reliable pest control with the personal service customers expect from a locally owned family business.
Our goal is simple: provide effective pest solutions without unnecessary long-term contracts while treating every home and business with the same care we would give our own.
Igetthebug Pest Prevention proudly serves homeowners and businesses throughout Hamilton, Fairfield, Oxford, Ross, Trenton, and surrounding Butler County communities.
From general household pests and recurring pest prevention to termites, bed bugs, rodents, and other pest problems, we provide professional solutions based on the needs of each property.
Honest service without the contracts.
Our company may have a new name, but our roots in the community go back to 1974.
JP & Son is now Igetthebug Pest Prevention, continuing the same family tradition of local pest control for a new generation.

Cory came out quickly for a rat issue I was having in my basement. Very informative and gave me some advice on how to prevent the problem from recurring. Great company and great guy. Would recommend again and again!
